Practices

The internships are mandatory and will take place in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery and Traumatology at the Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau. Theoretical classes will be held in the classrooms of the Sant Pau teaching unit, located within the hospital grounds.
 
Students will have internships supervised by a professor. During internship with their tutor, from 8 am to 3 pm, they will be able to visit outpatient clinics, visit hospitalized patients, and observe surgical procedures performed by the upper extremity team. They will also occasionally assist the surgeon. Internships will also be conducted at hospitals in Barcelona, ​​accepted by the UAB for our Master’s program, with the aim of expanding their knowledge of peripheral nerve surgery, brachial plexus surgery, and arthroscopic techniques.
      
It is essential that the student have a medical certificate confirming that he or she does not have any infectious diseases and that he or she has a civil liability insurance policy. He or she must also go to the Teaching Department at the Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau and provide the documentation requested by the hospital.
